These 7 life-changing books are a must-read

It only takes one “aha” moment to change your life. The following books are filled with these moments.

Each of these books I could not put down once I started reading them.

After reading one of these books, you will never look at life the same way again. I use the valuable information I have gained from these books daily. Each book will have a positive impact on your life.

Some of these books I own physical copies of, but most of them I listened to as audiobooks on Audible. If you have never tried Audible, it’s your lucky day. Right now, they are doing a promotion and giving away one free audiobook with a 30-day trial. Click Here to claim your free audiobook.

Now, onto the list!

Whenever anyone asks me what my number one book is, this is it. How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie. This book will make you an expert at social interactions. Why is this so important? Because we communicate with people every single day. We overlook the fact that becoming great at making connections is a skill we can improve. It just takes some learning some of the hidden techniques.

This book teaches you those many secret tricks on how to get people to like you. It also shows you how to strengthen your relationships with the friends you already have. You could think of this as social manipulation, which is why it is so important to be informed about these tactics. Better to know them and use them for good than to be taken advantage of by someone else who knows them. One of the best investments you can make in yourself is to pick up this book. Trust me. You will thank me later.

This book will save you money! Influence The Psychology of Persuasion talks about all the marketing tactics people use against you and why your brain falls for it. What makes this book so great is that after reading it. It becomes hard to fall for these shady business tricks anymore. The best way to keep yourself from is being manipulated and taken advantage of is to stay informed, especially in today’s day and age, with social media showing us hundreds of ads per day.

Nowadays I just look at the advertisement or salesperson who is trying a psychology trick on me and think to myself, “Well played, I know that one, it’s not gonna work on me.” It’s one of the best feelings ever. Ignorance, in the long run, will cost you a lot more time and money than it would if you picked up and read this book.

3) The Complete Conversations with God

by Neale Donald Walsch

Every person, at some point in their life, will go through a spiritual journey. They will question everything! This will be a journey of discovering what really matters to them, what their purpose is, and what God is. What makes The Complete Conversations With God such a powerful book is it’s very nonbias approach to religion. Instead, it explains it in its true raw form.

This book helped answer many questions I had when I was feeling lost. It also guided me to reach the spiritual enlightenment I didn’t know I needed. If you are in a similar situation, I highly recommend picking up this book. May it assist you in finding the answers you are looking for.

This is a dating book for guys, sort of. Do you ever wonder why the douchebag always gets the girl? This book shows you why he gets her, shows you the tactics he uses and teaches you how to use them. It seems too good to be true, well it kind of is. This book also shows the dangers of what happens to men when they turn dating into a numbers game when every social encounter turns into running a rewritten script.

However, this is a very important book to read for both men and women if you are single. Men, because you will get the confidence needed to attract women socially. Women, because you will be able to tell when a guy is trying to “run the game” with you instead of being genuine. This book gave me a lot of courage after a big breakup I had to start dating again. I highly recommend it to single guys looking for a confidence boost.

5) Awaken The Giant Within

by Tony Robbins

This was one of the first self-help books I ever read and is still, to this day, one of my favorites. Awaken The Giant Within is a great place to start overall for personal development. Part of what makes this book so great is it’s also a workbook with plenty of exercises to challenge your mind.

One of my favorite takeaways from this book was learning how changing your daily vocabulary can change your outlook on life. For instance, instead of using the word, “angry” use the word “peeved” instead because you can’t be angry when using such a ridiculous word. I’ve started using that word and many others he recommends. I can definitely say I was surprised by how much they affected my attitude for the better. Check this book out of you want to see his other suggestions as well as many other great tips.

6) Practicing the Power of Now

by Eckhart Tolle

No matter how hard we try, one thing we can never control is our thoughts. Our minds are always thinking, always planning something, anticipating, and worrying about the future. Almost always about a future that will probably never happen. This takes us away from being present, out of enjoying the moment. Overthinking is keeping us from giving friends and loved ones the attention they deserve. Life becomes fantastic once you master how to control your mind and “be in the now.”

This is a book that helped me break through a mental barrier I didn’t know I had. Learning how to stop overthinking and being present made me more productive. Instead of getting caught up on the “what ifs,” I just started doing. This book helped me tremendously on my fitness journey. Instead of worrying about my appearance, my mind would just focus on training. Then before I knew it, I ended up in the best shape of my life. Ready to tame your monkey brain? This book is for you.

My friends all hate me for reading this book. Why, because it kind of makes you a mind reader. What Every Body Is Saying is about becoming an expert at reading body language. An ex FBI agent also wrote it, so you know its good. There are a lot more tricks to reading people than just looking at their eyes. This book shares them with you.

I used to have a job doing security. Basically, people watching. That was when I read this book. Instantly I started looking at people differently. I began reading their body language and referencing it to what I learned in the book. Today, this a skill I can never unlearn. So when someone in my group of friends is feeling off, I am always the first to catch it and question them. This is a powerful ability to have, be warned! If this is something you want to master, then this book is for you.
